This is a mono print inspired by the the delicate poppy flower and how it is a symbol of peace, remembrance and hope. The monotype process means that no two prints are the same each print is unique.I apply ink to a plate, wipe, remove and manipulate the ink then I place a damp piece of paper over the plate and pass it through the rollers of the printing press. The paper is lifted off the plate revealing the image.
